How often:

The procedure is carried out under topical anaesthetic. A portable hand-held device delivers radiofrequency via micro-needles deep into the dermis, where collagen and elastin production is stimulated. The treatment typically takes less than an hour. and a course of 1-6 treatments is recommended, 4 weeks apart.

Topical anaesthetic is applied to cleansed skin and left to work for 20-30 minutes, although most clients may still feel a little heat and discomfort during the treatment. At the end of the session, there will be some redness and swelling in the treated area which may be tender.

Morpheus8 is a quick and easy treatment, so you can go home right after the session. Following treatment, skin redness occur and can take from 4 – 21 days to disappear. It is important not to scratch, pick or rub the area treated as a pinkish skin discoloration or hypo/hyperpigmentation could persist. You will be required to use a specialised recovery products twice a day for 4 weeks to accelerate the healing process. SPF50 must also be applied twice a day on the treated area to protect the skin.

You should not have this treatment if you have a pacemaker, internal defibrillator or any electronic implant such as a glucose monitor, a permanent implant in the treated area, such as metal plates and screws, silicone implants or an injected chemical substance. It is not suitable for those with a history of diseases stimulated by heat, such as recurrent Herpes Simplex in the treated area, any active conditions such as sores, psoriasis, eczema, rashes or recently / excessively tanned skin. If you have had filler in the last 6 months, botox in the last 2 weeks or are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should avoid this treatment.
